Pink Floyd - Breathe in the air Guitar Chords, lyrics, tabs & Meaning

Alright, so people.. i have kept my promise, this is my 4th post from Pink Floyd's "The Dark side of the moon"

For the meaning of Breathe, i will post two original quotes from Roger Waters from the DVD of "The Dark side of the moon", and the rest is on you guys to understand.

"Within the context of the piece as a whole, people are prepared to except that simple excertation to be prepared to stand your ground and attempt to live your life in an authentic way"- Roger Waters(2003)

"I certainly realized than that year (1973) that life was already happening. I think it's because my mother was so obsessed with education, and the idea that childhood and adolescence and well, everything was about preparing for a life that was going to start later, and I certainly realized that life wasn't going to start later that it you know it sort of darts and it happens all the time, and at any point you can grasp the reigns and start guiding your own destiny, and that was a big revelation to me, I mean it came to me as a big shock"- Roger Waters(2003)

I so much can relate this song to a few people i know, dont ask me who, it can be anyone, it can be you for all you know...

A few comments on this post shall not hurt, so please dont leave unless you leave a comment.

Pink Floyd - Eclipse Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meanings

Adding one more Pink Floyd song to the list, this one's Eclipse for you all... Its a beautiful song, I would request all to please read the lyrics once, before reading the meaning here, It will make things easier to read and understand...

Another song to add to the album "Dark side of moon" list.... Theres a deep thought behind this song here, all the songs in this album are deep infact...

The song here could mean that, I can see that, I always thought it meant that with all the things that you can do...everything you have ever thought of or accomplished...everything...can change that quickly when the "sun is eclisped by the moon." Not litterally, of course, but just one little tiny insignificant thing can change everything about your life.

I always think how the last line of the song "the sun is eclipsed by the moon" is really creative and deep, because it ties in with the name of the album in the sense that when the sun is eclipsed by the moon we see "the dark side of the moon"... or maybe its just me.

Alright, pls comment on this post and lets take songs meaning to another level in the comments section.

Pink Floyd - Time Guitar chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

Ohh, its a treat for all the Pink Floyd fans out there.. I am keeping my promise of posting all the songs from the album "Dark side of the Moon"... Here's Time for you.

this song pretty much explains how it must be the last few minutes of being alive. life probably does flash before your eyes and you're like wow where did the time go? and it must have felt so weird slipping out. through the killed time and all the spent time it all added up in the end.

I think everyone has been "Waiting for someone or something to show you the way" at one point. Just going along with life bored for the hell of it.

I just love this part of the song, incredibly well written. We try all day to get something out of life to only start again next day being closer to your death. Very sharp lyrics

"And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death"

This song also tells you that how, when we're young, we think we've got all the time in the world and we take it for granted (Tired of lying in the sunshine Staying home to watch the rain And you are young and life is long And there is time to kill today)

and how, later, when we're old and don't have very much time left we regret not doing the things that we could've done earlier in life (And then one day you find Ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run You missed the starting gun).

man... this song is just amazing. Gilmour and Waters are genious songwriters. This song has made me realize that life is a precious thing, and even though it's long it doesn't last forever...

So, the moral of the story here... please act now, time's not gonna wait for you

Pink Floyd - Time Guitar chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

[F#m] [A] [E]

[F#m]Ticking away the moments that make up [A]a dull day
You [E]fritter and waste the hours in and off hand [F#m]way
[F#m]Kicking around on a piece of ground in your [A]hometown
[E]Waiting for someone or something to show you the [F#m]way

[D9]Tired of lying in the sunshine
[A9]Staying home to watch the rain
[D9]You are young and life is long
[A9]There is time to [A]kill to day

[D9]And then one day you find
[C#m7]Ten years have got behind you
[Bm7]No one told you when to run
01-Sep-2007[E]You missed the [F#m]starting [A]gun [E]

And you [F#m]run you run to catch up with the sun but it's [A]sinking
Ra[E]cing around to come up behind you aga[F#m]in
The [F#m]sun is the same in the relative way but you're [A]older
[E]Shorter of breath and one day closer to [F#m]death

[D9]Every year is getting shorter
[A9]Never seem to find the time
[D9]Plans that either come to naught
Or [A9]half a page of scribbled lines

[D9]Hanging on in quiet despe[C#m7]ration
Is the english way
My [Bm7]time has gone my song is over
[Bm]Thought I'd [F/C]something more to [Em]say

Greenday - Time of your life (Good Riddance) Guitar chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meanings

My first post from Greenday, this song is one of the most popular songs from Greenday.. This song was played at the finale of the seinfield series, Man i used to love it, and thats one more reason for me loving this song.

"At the time I wrote 'Good Riddance' I was breaking up with a girl who was moving to Equador, and I was trying to be as understanding about it as I could. I was trying not to be bitter, but I think it came out a little bitter anyway..... This was the orignal quote by Billy Joe (Vocalist) about this song.

This song is also titled "Good Riddance" (An expression of pleasure on being rid of some annoyance)... So i think that quite explains the meaning of the quote.

Please comment if you people know some other meaning to the song.

Pink Floyd - Brain Damage Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

Brain Damage, A classic from Pink Floyd, this is from the album "The Dark Side of the Moon".. All the tracks in the album are about insanity, Some people also claim that the whole album was about "Syd Barett", the founder member of the band

The concept of Dark Side of the Moon is that of the factors in everyday life which lead people to madness. The members of Pink Floyd wanted to know if everday life can make you go insane, and they actually stopped people on the street and asked them questions, then they put them on the album.

Trivia note: Paul and Linda McCartney were among those interviewed but they weren't put into the album because they thought that they sounded "too average".

I believe that "Brain Damage" is the final culmination of insanity..the factors which lead to it are discussed, and "Brain Damage" is the actual insanity as it happens.

Alright, so, i promise to post all the songs from this album, dont forget to check out Time, Money, Us and them, Eclipse and more.. till then enjoy playing Brain Damage guitar chords.

John Lennon - Imagine Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

John Lennon at his best, what a man! John lennon always wrote on world peace, and this song is one of the best from him.

John says that his idea for the ideal world is a world with no separation, no country borders, no races, no religions, no language difference, nothing, everyone belonged to one united group. Simple simple.

Man, How i wish people like John Lennon were alive... Their music had so much to cover today.

Listen to the song reading the lyrics and you will understand what i am trying to say.

The Beatles - Hey Jude Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meanings

Alright, so this is the first beatles song on my blog.. One of the greatest bands ever.

This is great song starting off as a ballad and ending as a sing-song quality. This song waS written by Sir Paul McCartney for John Lennon's son Julian, after the death of John's wife Cynthia. Julian was not comfortable with his step mother Yoko Ono. John Lennon initially thought that the song was actually for him. Originally, the song was Hey Jules, but Paul changed it becuase he thought it was "a mouth full".

Paul always thought the line, "the movement you need is on your shoulder" was rather corny. The first time he played it for John he said "Don't worry, I'll change that line" and John replied "Don't, it's the best line in the song." Paul often refers to this song in interviews and says that this song, and line in particular reminds him of John.

I would have loved the song anyways and my fav line from the song is "Remember to let her under your skin,
Then you'll begin to make it".

Here's the guitar chords for Hey Jude from Beatles.

The Beatles - Hey Jude Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meanings

Hey [D]Jude, don't make it [A]bad
Take a [A7]sad song and make it [D]better
Reme[G]mber to let her into your [D]heart
[A7]Then you can start to make it [D]better

Hey [D]Jude, dont be [A]afraid
You were [A7]made to go out and [D]get her
The [G]minute you let her under your [D]skin
[A7]Then you begin to [D]make it [D7]better

And any [G]time you feel the pain, [Em]hey Jude, refrain
Don't [A7]carry the world upon your [D]shoulder
For [G]don't you know that it's a [Em]fool who plays it cool
By [A7]making his world a little [D]colder

Na na na [D7]na na, na na [A7]na na

Hey [D]Jude don't let me [A]down
You have [A7]found her, now go and [D]get her
The [G]minute you let her into your [D]heart
Then you can [A7]start to make it [D]better [D7]

So [G]let it out and let it in, [Em]Hey Jude, begin
You're [A7]looking for someone to get [D]closer
But [G]don't you know that it's just you [Em]Hey Jude, You'll do,
the [A7]moment you need Is on your [D]shoulder

Na na na [D7]na na, na na [A7]na na

Hey [D]Jude, don't make it [A]bad
Take a [A7]sad song and make it [D]better
Reme[G]mber to let her into your [D]heart
[A7]Then you can start to make it [D]better

..better..better..better... Yeah!!

Legendary Pink Floyd Keyboardist Richard Wright Passes Away due to Cancer

Wright, who played the keyboard and wrote music for classic albums The Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here, died aged 65 after a short battle with cancer.

Speaking shortly after his death was announced, Pink Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour said his musical partner and friend was "gentle, unassuming and private".

He added: "His soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of our most recognised Pink Floyd sound.

"Like Rick, I don't find it easy to express my feelings in words, but I loved him and will miss him enormously.

"I have never played with anyone quite like him."

In the early days of Pink Floyd, Wright was seen as the group's dominant musical force, composing masterpieces such as The Great Gig In The Sky, and Us And Them.

"Without Us And Them and The Great Gig In The Sky, what would The Dark Side Of The Moon have been?" Gilmour said.

"Without his quiet touch the album Wish You Were Here would not quite have worked.

"In my view all the greatest PF moments are the ones where he is in full flow."

London-born Wright mastered the trombone, saxophone, guitar and piano in his teenage years, and had hoped to emulate Miles Davis and John Coltrane, before enrolling in architecture at the Regent Street Polytechnic.

There he met fellow band mates Roger Waters and Nick Mason, and they went on to form the Pink Floyd Sound in 1965.

Their first studio album, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was released in 1967.

After tensions with Waters, Wright left the band shortly after recording sessions for The Wall in 1979.

He released two solo albums including Broken China in 1996, but they never attracted the band's level of critical acclaim.

Gilmour said that the musician had "lost his way for a while" during that time.

He officially returned to the band in 1987, playing the keyboards and adding vocals to the A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album.

"In the early 90s, with The Division Bell, his vitality, spark and humour returned to him," Gilmour said.

Wright performed on every Pink Floyd tour and played with the surviving members of the band at Live 8 in 2005.

His performances during those times were "uplifting", Gilmour said.

"It's a mark of his modesty that those standing ovations came as a huge surprise to him, (though not to the rest of us)," he said

Bob Dylan - Knocking on Heaven's Door Guitar chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

Woah... This is gonna be one of the most memorable days in my blogging life, Coz i am posting "Knocking on heavens door" today..

By far, Knocking on Heavens door has been the best song for me when it comes to meaningful music.... Bob Dylan is a genius, he indeed is. This song is covered by god knows how many artists till now, i play it once or twice a week atleast.

Alright, so lets get to the meaning of this song here. At first look, people might fail to understand the context of this song. This song looks like a song for all the war, killings, terrorism, and all those inhuman happenings. Bob Dylan has always been wiriting songs on such matters.

This song is about a soldier whos probably seen too much of war and killings and is really tired of all that. The badge is the badge of his army/country and he wants it removed because he can no longer wants to fight 'put my guns in the ground' and can no longer tell the right from the wrong, 'too dark to see', 'black cloud is comin' down' and feels like dying, 'knocking on heaven's door'. However he realises that his actions in life may have meant his entry into heaven isn't guaranteed - he has to knock on the door of heaven.

Second thoughts : why not relate the song to yourself? that is probabably what dylan did when he originaly wrote it, and i dont feel that you are forced to relate it to anything physical.. instead to a feeling or something of yourselves

Please comment if you need to share your meanings for this song, or if you think i have missed out on something. and the guitar chords are all yours
