Wavin' Flag is a song by K'naan, a somali-canadian artist. There are multiple versions of this song, so many of them. A version of the song featuring will.i.am and David Guetta is targeted for international release. The song was chosen as Coca-Cola's promotional anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and it just took off and actually became the anthem worldwide.

Aye Khuda comes from the movie Paathshala, starring Shahid Kapur as a music teacher. Aye Khuda happens to be the first track from the album, with Salim Merchant on the vocals. Now, I must say that Salim merchant on the vocals, hes sung some very good numbers including Pankho ko from Rocket Singh..

'Aye Khuda' is as soothing as it gets. A soft number with Western orchestra to it, this number is like an urban number with an Indi-pop touch to it. The kind of number that instantly gets you into the mood and makes you happy. Other song from the movie I like is Bekarar by Lucky Ali.

Another beautiful song by another fav band, The Scientist by Coldplay. The Scientist comes from the album "A Rush of Blood to the head", and I love the title. The song was written collaboratively by all the band members, and is built around a Piano Ballad and falsetto.

I just love the video of this song, its definitely a must watch, the video has a reverse narrative and I just love it. The video has a suspense at the end, so do watch it on Youtube. In order for Chris Martin to appear to be mouthing the lyrics in the reversed footage, he had to learn to sing the song backwards, which took him a month to do. The video also won 3 MTV Music video awards.

About the meaning, the song is about a break up or losing someone you loves and Chris Martin is trying to use science and reason to figure out what went wrong. But even that doesn't make sense to him. The line "take me back to the start" is where he wants to take things back to the very begining of the relationship when everything was okay. This song is from the album "21st Century Breakdown", they won a Grammy for this album for the "Best Rock Album". They also performed this song live at the Grammy's with the cast of "American Idiot" Musical. Its a beautiful song with great meaning. In simple words, the song is about Peace and against war, about hopelessness, uncertainty, and the ever-present pain..

Outside By Staind. I love Aaron Lewis's vocals, and the way he sings. Its a sexy grunge number. About how kids are deprived of their innocence in the world of education that dictates what they should be doing rather than them making a choice. And how they wanna breakfree from all this.. Lovely meaning to the song, with lovely lyrics.

This song has been one of my most played songs in 2009. I became a fan of Goldspot in 2008 when I first heard this on TV. Infact, I love all the songs by Goldspot. Tu jaane naa.. A beautiful track from the movie Ajab Prem ki Gajab Kahani... There are 3 versions of this song, but I first heard the Aatif Aslam version, and was a instant hit for me. The other versions are from Kailash Kher with Naresh-Paresh, and the last version by some other guys.

At the very first instance, 'Tu Jaane Na' seems to be embarking on a sudden start. However, a minute into the song, Atif Aslam takes over the proceedings and comes up with a heartfelt rendition for this love track. With a 'sufi' element to it, what strikes most about 'Tu Jaane Na' is a certain purity that makes it yet another quality number that Imtiaz Ali would have loved to have in his next film.

And then comes an 'unplugged version' and as Kailash Kher, Paresh and Naresh go about their act, one is convinced that 'Tu Jaane Na' is pretty much the other highlight number in the album after 'Main Tera Dhadkan Teri'. This is a kind of song that can be heard on a repeat mode without being bored.
