Another beautiful song by another fav band, The Scientist by Coldplay. The Scientist comes from the album "A Rush of Blood to the head", and I love the title. The song was written collaboratively by all the band members, and is built around a Piano Ballad and falsetto.

I just love the video of this song, its definitely a must watch, the video has a reverse narrative and I just love it. The video has a suspense at the end, so do watch it on Youtube. In order for Chris Martin to appear to be mouthing the lyrics in the reversed footage, he had to learn to sing the song backwards, which took him a month to do. The video also won 3 MTV Music video awards.

About the meaning, the song is about a break up or losing someone you loves and Chris Martin is trying to use science and reason to figure out what went wrong. But even that doesn't make sense to him. The line "take me back to the start" is where he wants to take things back to the very begining of the relationship when everything was okay. I just loved this song the first time I heard it, and loved it evenmore after I saw the video for the first time on VH1. This song is from the album "21st Century Breakdown", they won a Grammy for this album for the "Best Rock Album". They also performed this song live at the Grammy's with the cast of "American Idiot" Musical. The official video of 21 Guns won the "Best Rock Video", "Best Direction in a Video" and "Best Cinematography in a Video" for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Its a beautiful song with great meaning. In simple words, the song is about Peace and against war, about hopelessness, uncertainty, and the ever-present pain..
