Alright so, this song recalls the fervour of young romance and the tune is very new age with a very soft feel. However, you totally gotta give it to the singer Nikhil Paul George because it's his vocals that steals the show and will instantly make you fall in love with the song. The variations and the feel brought by him to the song is one of the best that you would have heard in recent times. The lyrics of this song are written by Ashish Pandit.

Again, the song has chord progressions which a beginner might find difficult to switch between, I mean I used to find it difficult when I was a beginner. Alrght. So, second song from Barfi as promised. This one's 'Aashiyan', a song which has an Italian or maybe Spanish flavor with its sprightly accordion and flute and the whole overall feeling to the musical arrangement on the track. The song reminded me of one of those yesteryear's romantic melodies. This is sung by Sherya Ghoshal with her sparkling tone. And we also have Nikhil Paul George who adds the smooth male voice, Nikhil Paul has been a part of Pritam's music troupe and has also worked with him behind the scenes on many of his compositions. I totally loved Nikhil's voice in this song, there's also a version which just has Nikhil Paul George. This is one which is playing on the TV promo and on Radio, but it's not on the album.

There are lot of chord variations in this song and the chord switching is little fast, so you will have to practice a couple of times before playing. The original scale of this song is A# and that makes it kind of difficult to play with so many chords. What you can do is, use a CAPO and place on the first fret and play it on A scale by replacing the following A# scale chords with A scale. Refer to the chords below.

So, I am in love with the songs of this new movie BARFI. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana Cruz.. Brilliant music by Pritam, you gotta give him the credit and keep all those plagiarisms jokes aside. This man knows his music and knows exactly what works.

Well, I am gonna post Chords and lyrics for couple of songs from this movie. Starting with 'Saawali Si Raat' which is a beautiful soft and sweet romantic ballad. Sung by Arijit Singh (Raabta singer) and he continues to prove his sharp and deep vocal skills once again with this magical track. This song will grow on you and will definitely make you forget your worries, just like it did to me. Kind of perfect soothing stress relieving track. My fav part of the song is the second stanza "Barfi ke tukde sa, chanda dekho aadha hai"
