One of the best rock songs ever made, Stairway to heaven was a classic from Jimmy Page. A lot has been written and said about this song, but most of them were just rumours. This song is 8:03 long, but still became one of the most-played songs on American radio.

Rolling Stone magazine asked Jimmy Page how much of the guitar solo was composed before he recorded it. He replied: "It wasn't structured at all. I had a start. I knew where and how I was going to begin. And I just did it.

According to the radio trade magazine Monday Morning Replay, this song is still played 4,203 times a year by the 67 largest AOR (album-oriented rock) radio stations in the US, and i am sure India ain't far behind.

I play this song once a day atleast, and have been doing that for years... Well, i am a very very small guy to write or comment about this song, but i couldn't resist.
