Pink Floyd - Time Guitar chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

Ohh, its a treat for all the Pink Floyd fans out there.. I am keeping my promise of posting all the songs from the album "Dark side of the Moon"... Here's Time for you.

this song pretty much explains how it must be the last few minutes of being alive. life probably does flash before your eyes and you're like wow where did the time go? and it must have felt so weird slipping out. through the killed time and all the spent time it all added up in the end.

I think everyone has been "Waiting for someone or something to show you the way" at one point. Just going along with life bored for the hell of it.

I just love this part of the song, incredibly well written. We try all day to get something out of life to only start again next day being closer to your death. Very sharp lyrics

"And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death"

This song also tells you that how, when we're young, we think we've got all the time in the world and we take it for granted (Tired of lying in the sunshine Staying home to watch the rain And you are young and life is long And there is time to kill today)

and how, later, when we're old and don't have very much time left we regret not doing the things that we could've done earlier in life (And then one day you find Ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run You missed the starting gun).

man... this song is just amazing. Gilmour and Waters are genious songwriters. This song has made me realize that life is a precious thing, and even though it's long it doesn't last forever...

So, the moral of the story here... please act now, time's not gonna wait for you
