Rock On, Farhan Akhtar - Pichle Saat Dino Mein Guitar chords, lyrics, Tabs & Meaning

This is another killer from Rock On, The original track from the album opens with electric guitar and the rhythm of "Na Na Na Na Na".... The movie has the live version of the song when the band "Magik" auditions for Channel V talent hunt(the 1st time)..

Amazing video, just too good, has everything that a real live rock performance has.. and Farhan Akhtar once again puts his heart into this album.. With unconventional lyrics and a great video, this song demands to be loved....

Alright then, without wasting much time, let me share the guitar chords for this amazing song, I have really put in a lot of effort for this one, so please bother to play my chords at least once, and please comment if you think some chords are not sounding proper.

Hi Abhishikt,

At first u might feel these chords are not proper.. try playing it with the song, and play it clean...

i saw arjun rampal playing G & Em in the movie when they sit to jam after 10 years... i clearly saw that it was G & Em....

You are always welcome to post your chords here.... Keep Visiting

Hey! vijeeth. arjun rampal is just an actor and hes nt a guitarist. Dont think that what ever he is playing are the actual chords. He is just acting with something in his hands. Chorus sounds kinda fine but the intro is wrong. I think its
na naaa na. na. na.
G5 A5 E5 E5 E5

Hi Devashish,

I understand that Arjun rampal is an actor.. But, hes put in a lot of effort to learn guitaring in a really short time... He learned guitar from Chandresh (Dream out Loud)....

And Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy would not want someone playing strange chords in the movie...

This was not any other hindi movie anyways..

I shall try your chords friend, keep visiting

i agree with devashish ...if playd simple intro goes....G/Am Em...(with power chords hit the base strings)

i think A major might fit instead of A minor, try it out

I also agree with devashish
As arjun is just an actor and not a true guitarist

I surrender people,

Thanks for all those beautiful comments

Devashish, you are perfect... i tried using G A Em, and it sounds really good...

The idea of this blog was to share our thoughts with one another, and correct someone is hes going in a wrong direction.. Feels good to know that its working that way

Hi All,
I have been listening to this song like 15-20 times a day for the last week, just to get it right and play it.
I guess, C (note on B string) Am Em sound closest.

Here's how I play it :
E------------------------------
B-1----------------------------
G---1--------------------------
D---1--1-----------------------
A------1-----------------------
E------------------------------
C Am Em
Strum all string from the top with downward strokes.

For the Verses

Mere Taash se.....
B C A G

Kaise Boolon..
goes on B C A G but each note is strummed

The rest is same :)

Please try this out and let me know :)

hey guys....
the chord of the song are correct... there's no doubt about it. my band has been playing it ever since the movie released.

the challenge in this song is in understanding which notes ehsaan has used. In the intro, people usually conslude that we start at G (3rd fret ;6th string) and slide to A (5th fret). This is only partially correct.

The first note in G, no doubt. The second note is a combination of A & D. Listen to the song carefully, and you'll understand what i mean.

to all those who can read very simple tabs, here's the correct version for the intro:

e |-----------------------------------------------|
B |-------------------------------------------------|
G |-------------2------------------------------------|
D |-------------0-------- 2-----2------2-------------|
A |-----------------------2-----2------2---------------|
E |-----3-------------------------------------------------|

I've incoprporated the combined notes above. Have fun!

Samarth Bharadwaj said...

nice chords dude...

but your admiration for Shankar and co is quite misplaced...

"Sindbad the sailor" start riff is lifted off the 1972 hit by deep purple called Highway Star....

Vijeeth shetty said...

Thanks for all those lovely comments and discussion..

@Samarth, i know the riff is a lift from Highway Star, but u gotta give the SEL for a lovely album..

Keep visiting guys, and keep discussing....
