Guns N Roses - Sweet Child O Mine Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meanings

Guns N Roses sweet child o mine guitar chords lyrics tabs meaningsShe's got a smile that it seems to me, reminds of childhood memories.....

I dont remember how many times have i sung these lines since school.. must be a million times by now.... Sweet child o mine has always, always been one of my fav songs... I just love this song...

One of the best from Guns N Roses, this song was also one of the most played songs in radio stations.

In a VH1 special, it was stated that Slash (GNR lead guitarist) played the riff in a jam session as a joke. Drummer Steven Adler and Slash were warming up and Slash began to play a "circus" melody while making faces at Steven. Izzy asked Slash to play it again, and added chords to play with it. With Steven Adler's added drum part, the harmony became the core of the song.

The lyrics of the song were originally a poem/love letter to Axl's (GNR lead vocalist) girlfriend (Erin Everly) at the time. Originally, there was a third verse to the song. However, this verse was later cut from recording as the band's producer, Spencer Proffer, felt the song would carry on for too long. The final dramatic breakdown was not added until Proffer suggested the band add one. They agreed, but weren't sure what to do. Axl started saying to himself, "Where do we go? Where do we go now?" Spencer suggested that he sing that, and "Sweet Child o' Mine" was born.[1] In an interview with Hit Parader magazine in 1988, bassist Duff McKagan noted:

The thing about 'Sweet Child,' it was written in five minutes. It was one of those songs, only three chords. You know that guitar lick Slash does at the beginning? It was kinda like a joke because we thought, 'What is this song? It's gonna be nothin', it'll be filler on the record.' And except that vocal-wise, it's very sweet and sincere, Slash was fuckin' around when he first wrote that lick.

All in all, it has always been one of my most loved songs, and i love playing it.. You can use these guitar chords given here, which are quite easy and simple.

The Beatles - You've Got to Hide your Love away Guitar chords, Lyrics, Tabs & Meanings

This song was written by John Lennon and was credited to the Lennon-McCartnery venture they had. The song first appeared on the album Help, and also in the movie Help! in 1965.

Its said that John lennon was highly infatuated with Bob Dylan's 1964 song "I dont believe you".. The song opens in a similar way to Bob dylan's 1964 song. Lennon also tried to mimic Dylan's way of singing, and used an all-acoustic approach... Sir Paul McCartney later said "The song is basically John just doing a Dylan"

Well, about the meaning of this song. A lot of people have their own meanings to it. Some say, its a love song, some say its a break up song, and some say its about homosexuality (hiding your love away).

The song, according to musician/singer Tom Robinson, is a reference to Brian Epstein, the group's manager, who was homosexual (homosexuality was a criminal offence in Britain at the time). So, maybe the homosexuality story is true, only a Beatle can confirm that though.

Loads of other artists have covered this song including U2, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Travis, Chris Cornell, Tim Rose, Eddie Vedder and many more.

Please leave your comments for the acoustic and easy guitar chords for this great Beatles song.
