Oasis is one of my fav bands of all time... Those two brothers, Noel and Liam are too good. Champagne supernova is one of the most heard Oasis song by me. Infact, Champagne supernova is the one of the most successful song for Oasis.

Noel Gallagher said in an interview that he does not know what the song actually means but "where were you while we were getting high?" was in there cause thats what he and his friends used to say to each other. and the "slowly walking down the hall faster than a cannonball" he wrote while he was high. He also said that "caught benith the landslide" was was how he feels like. He also said that everytime he listens to the song it means something different just depending on his mood at that time.

Though the song was only released as a single in Australia, France and the United States, a music video was released to the music channels and, as a result of that, the song received much television and radio airplay. The song beacame a big US success, becoming the band's second #1 single on the Modern Rock Tracks chart.
