Indian Ocean/Black Friday - Bandeh Guitar Chords, Lyrics, Tabs and Meanings
Bandeh is a great song by a great band, Indian Ocean. Bandeh is from the movie "The Black Firday", the movie based on the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, which rocked the country. Black friday, i think was the first movie by Anurag Kashyap, which was released much later after a lot of controversy. Black Friday is the first full-length Bollywood film soundtrack of Indian Ocean.
The meaning of the song is quiet open, it speaks about the attacks on humanity, mainly terrorist attacks... Since 1993, India has seen a lot of such Bomb Blasts, and the recent attacks on the Taj were the most cruel of all.. The song is not just for the attacks on India, but for all the attacks that happen worldwide, on Pakistan, on Afganisthan, on Iraq, Srilanka, Beirut, or anywhere...
My fav line in the song is "Are mandir ye chup hai are masjid ye gumsum, Ibadat thak padegi ho".... The song has great meaning and can make someone cry. Great lyrics by Piyush Mishra. Other Songs like "Bharam Bhaap ke" and "baadshah in Jail" are also very good.
The guitar chords for Bandeh are pretty easy, and simple. And for the strumming patterns, like i always say, play with the song for a couple of times and you will figure out the strumming pattern.

The chords in the original song are in a different scale man,.Its in Cm not in Am,.It goes like Cm : Ab,Bb and Cm again.
Hi,
Arjun, the lead part will take some time for me to tabs, as I am not much into leads
Anirban, I knew the original scale was different. But the chords I have posted are simple, and anybody from a Beginner to and expert can play it.... I like the Cm thing you have posted, keep visiting, thanks.
original scale Cm
so it goes
Cm G# A#
Hey thanks Chirag.. I appreciate your inputs.. Keep visiting and commenting
Galat Chords !!!
u cn try Cm.. G#M...D#M.. Cm...!!
Can you give the strumming pattern of it...
Anyone with strumming pattern....
It seems a foolish version. . Chords are totally wrong and strumming is missing.. bhai guitar chhor kr chhole bech le... shayd wo thik ban jaye.. guitarist....
For all those complaining about wrong chords, they are same as original as long you place the capo at 3rd fret. I think vijeeth might have probably missed it or played using these chords suitable for his vocal scale.
As far as strumming is concerned, go for some basic finger picking pattern or a simple DD DUDU pattern.
