I was riding (on my bike) my way back home when i first heard this song on the radio, and i was trying to memorize as much of lyrics as i could, so that i can go home search for this song on the internet.. And i have been in love with this song from that very first day i heard it...

The song seems to be a normal love song, the guy singing it for his girl.. But wait until you watch the video for this song. The video for the song features a young man (played by vocalist Adam Levine), who falls in love with the mother (played by the hot Kelly Preston) of his girlfriend . It is shown that the mother does not receive love from her husband. So, "She will be loved" is actually for his girlfriend's mother.... Sounds too complicated, is it?.... It's said that this song was inspired by the complication in Adam Levine's (the vocalist) realtionship with his wife.

Well, I downloaded this album pretty late, and so it took me a while to post this song here..

The song's Spanish title, "Viva la Vida" is taken from a painting by 20th century Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. It directly translates into English as "Live Life," meaning "long live life".

When asked about the song, bass guitarist Guy Berryman said, "It’s a story about a king who’s lost his kingdom, and all the album’s artwork is based on the idea of revolutionaries and guerrillas."

Unlike the typical arrangement of Coldplay songs, in which either the piano or guitar dominates, "Viva la Vida" mostly consists of a string section playing the song's upbeat riff, along with a steady bass drum beat, percussion (including a timpani and a church bell), bass guitar, and Chris Martin's vocals; there is limited use of electric guitar in the song. All the strings are arranged and performed by violinist Davide Rossi, who is also one of the main collaborators of the album.

This song is a song co-written by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman. This song was Originally released by the Australian vocal harmony trio New World in 1972, and the song charted at # 35 on the Australian chart. The song later became a worldwide hit for the band Smokie.

The song is about a young man's long-standing crush on Alice, the girl next door and neighbor for 24 years, which is left unexpressed after she moves away. This guy sees a limo parked at Alice's home and begins to reflect on childhood memories and his friendship with Alice, and his heart breaks as he sees Alice get inside the limousine.

As he watches the car drive out of sight, this guy feels angst over two things:

A. Alice leaving without explanation; and B. That he did not take advantage of that second chance to express his feelings for her.

Another female character in the song is Sally, another longtime neighbor of this guy who is introduced early in the song. In the song's first verse, she reminds him of Alice's impending departure. Alright, so this is the first beatles song on my blog.. One of the greatest bands ever.

This is great song starting off as a ballad and ending as a sing-song quality. This song waS written by Sir Paul McCartney for John Lennon's son Julian, after the death of John's wife Cynthia. Julian was not comfortable with his step mother Yoko Ono. John Lennon initially thought that the song was actually for him. Originally, the song was Hey Jules, but Paul changed it becuase he thought it was "a mouth full".

Paul always thought the line, "the movement you need is on your shoulder" was rather corny. The first time he played it for John he said "Don't worry, I'll change that line" and John replied "Don't, it's the best line in the song." Paul often refers to this song in interviews and says that this song, and line in particular reminds him of John.

I would have loved the song anyways and my fav line from the song is "Remember to let her under your skin,

Woah... This is gonna be one of the most memorable days in my blogging life, Coz i am posting "Knocking on heavens door" today..

By far, Knocking on Heavens door has been the best song for me when it comes to meaningful music.... Bob Dylan is a genius, he indeed is. This song is covered by god knows how many artists till now, i play it once or twice a week atleast.

Alright, so lets get to the meaning of this song here. At first look, people might fail to understand the context of this song. This song looks like a song for all the war, killings, terrorism, and all those inhuman happenings. Bob Dylan has always been wiriting songs on such matters.

This song is about a soldier whos probably seen too much of war and killings and is really tired of all that. The badge is the badge of his army/country and he wants it removed because he can no longer wants to fight 'put my guns in the ground' and can no longer tell the right from the wrong, 'too dark to see', 'black cloud is comin' down' and feels like dying, 'knocking on heaven's door'. However he realises that his actions in life may have meant his entry into heaven isn't guaranteed - he has to knock on the door of heaven.


Second thoughts : why not relate the song to yourself? that is probabably what dylan did when he originaly wrote it, and i dont feel that you are forced to relate it to anything physical.. instead to a feeling or something of yourselves
